American Apparel: The Want/Need Edition

I'm liking some of the new styles trickling into American Apparel:

1) Cotton Seersucker Bloomers. $25 for a pair of cutesy undergarments that, should they come into my possession, would be worn as shorts. I'm not the cutesy type, but I'm sure I could toughen 'em up a bit.

2) Tie Dye Interlock Pencil Skirt. Pencil skirts are typically part of fairly put-together outfits, while tie dye is by definition relaxed. So yes, I'm a fan of the contrast in this skirt.

3) Unisex Denim Jacket. I like denim jackets, but the black color here makes it classic and more chic than the typical pale blue faded denim.

4) Super Sheer Circle Scarf. I was lusting over this scarf in solid form, but the sheer version is even cooler. Not to mention more appropriate for the upcoming warm weather.

I guess a trip into the city to the nearest American Apparel is in the cards. I wanna see these babies in person before I shell out the cash. My head is swimming with ideas for that scarf. What do you think?

I'm thinking you're fabulous. And I don't own anything from American Apparel...

And I'm realllllly glad you're back to doing regular blog posts. They make me so happy.

And I'll need your help before I go to Lithuania for two reasons:
(A) I need to blend in to all the eurotrash at least a little bit.
(B) I need to know what to look for in the way of cheap but fab eurotrash clothing.

MUCH LOVE. And that scarf is amazing. I love love love scarves, and I have too many. I really like that third picture of it, I don't know how it'd stay on, but that twist looks really fab. :)

I love saying fab because it's so randomly British, and I only picked it up because I read "P.S. I love you" over spring break.

Huzzah for long comments! :)

Also, I <3 Tie Dye. I'm sensing a tie-dying adventure needs to come up soon...

Or bleach tie-dye, which might be classier and more like the skirt in the picture. Like "punky" ^ DIY, wahoo!

Love the denim jacket...I agree the dark denim makes it more practical for everyday use.

I must admit I couldn’t understand American Apparel for a while, until I actually decided to stop ignoring this shop and have a look inside. Pretty cool things out there! And loooooving the scarf!

LOL, I agree with the comment above. The first time I went to American Apparel was about 4 years ago; on a recommendation from this flamboyant friend of my cousin's. I was totally confused when I walked in, overwhelmed, and walked out. But a few months later, I looked at their website...and haven't turned away since.

I love the pencil skirt. American Apparel always has great, simple articles that go well with anything. I already own the circle scarf, it's so hard not to wear it with everything!

I love those cotton seersucker bloomers! I have a pair just like them except in white with a unique yellow trim from a store called Immoni on Retrow row in Long Beach. They're perfect for summer!
