Unique Sweater Dresses!
Plain sweater dresses are easy to find. They're in pretty much every store this year, and I fully intend on picking up a few of them for the fall/winter. But interesting ones? They're not so common. That's why I'm thrilled that Lulu's Fashion Lounge just got in three unique, colorful sweater dresses!
Cutest sweater dress EVER. Seriously, I love it. Adorable
Pretty, no? I'm lovin' those colors!
The most unique of the bunch, I'd say. At first, I didn't like it, but it's kinda growing on me...
Okay, so the fact that the dresses don't have long sleeves is kinda impractical (Does anyone else find it annoying that so many fall items have short sleeves this year?), but they're so cute and fun I'm having trouble caring. And at $43, they're priced pretty reasonably.
My only concern? How can I keep from buying all three?!

Old Navy is Stepping it Up
Surprisingly, I'm looking foward to picking up my fall/winter wardrobe at Old Navy. The store has really stepped it up as of late. I'm liking a lot of the summer dresses that have been reduced to $15 too, but the fall stuff looks so cute and cozy. And for some reason, everything appeals to me in gray, which is a color I usually avoid because it's so drab. But I can see this clothing perked up with some colorful opaque tights. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Bring on the cold weather! I wanna go shopping for all that's warm and cozy!

I don't think this is the nicest looking dress ever, and I'm not a huge fan of turtlenecks 'cause I hate having my neck enclosed in hot, itchy wool, but this dress seems to have a nice, loose neck and it looks so warm. It's the perfect dress to throw on when all you want to do is huddle under the covers.

Kurt Cobain Would Be Proud

Picture courtesy of LJ's Next Top Model
I know most people are dreading the return of '90s styles, but I think I'd like to try out a slightly updated grunge look for one of my many fall/winter looks (C'mon...did no one else notice how Bender's outfit in The Breakfast Club was the epitome of cool?). I want to take the grunge staples of plaid flannel and Doc Martens/workboots and make them a bit more feminine. Sounds cozy, no?
Plaid shirtdress, $39.50 Alloy
Boots (black), $29.99 Target
Feel like listening to Nirvana yet?

Getting the Look: Free People
A few days ago, I mentioned how in love I am with the newest Free People catalogue. Since then, I haven't been able to stop plotting my fall/winter wardrobe. I think Free People has the right idea for cold days- lots of warm, comfy layers with a wonderful Boho vibe. I want to try and recreate the look for winter, so I looked around for some cheaper things that I can pair with dresses to get the look.
