Desert Storm & Legging Love

Just when I thought I'd gotten over lame leggings (pretend there's an accent over the e), I came accross the editorial Desert Storm on Iconique. Featuring lots of gleaming leggings paired with sky-high platforms, the editorial makes me fall in love with lame leggings all over again.

The above outfit is my favorite, because I love the futuristic take on classic Chanel, as well as the model's fierce karate-chop pose. Plus, I can totally picture this outfit being rocked by Gala Darling. Oh Gala, it would look amazing on you!

The Metallic Legging Quest Continues!

You will recall that I bought/returned a pair of silver leggings at Mango, which turned out to be sparkly, but not shiny. This was due to the fact that there was no picture provided on the Mango website. Well, Wet Seal has just got in silver and gold metallic leggings (and hot pants) that are definitely shiny and American Apparel-esque! I'm ordering them, because I haven't yet gotten my metallic leggings fix, and they happen to be an affordable $19.50. Hooray!

I'm Gettin' Lucky Tonight (Not in *That* Way)

I've been wanting a pair of metallic leggings for a while now. I know that you can get them at American Apparel, but I refuse to spend $40 for a pair of leggings. It's just too much. Anyway, when I was browsing the Mango sale today (which, by the way, is pretty damn good), I stumbled across metallic leggings! They come in silver and gold, although the only picture shown is copper, and they're on sale for only $13.99! There are also some leggings that look like the PVC leggings we've been seeing around on sale for $16.99. I just ordered the silver leggings and the black shiny ones. I feel amazingly lucky. Now, if only the gladiator sandals were reduced a bit more (I'm still looking for those).
