I know I've been horribly bad about updating lately, and I'm sorry. I have so many things I've been dying to show y'all (including the acquisition of a sweet faux leather jacket!), but I never quite seem to get around to it. Busy life and all of that. Anyway, I'll share some amazing links for now, and hopefully I'll have a post with some actual writing in it up soon.

Solestruck
I think I might be a bad person.
Solestruck.com gifted me a gorgeous pair of shoes a few weeks ago, and after receiving them, oohing and aahing, and spending some quality time prancing around the house and sticking my feet out for others to admire, I promptly forgot to post about them. Whoops!
Am currently remedying the situation.
Check out these lovelies:
These heels by Faryl Robin have a vintage-y, whimsical feel that I really love. They're quite different from the rest of my shoe collection, which tends to be black and slightly punk-ish (think combat boots and studded gladiators), but I can hardly be expected to stick with one aesthetic when there are so many shoes out there! And all right, so walking is a bit of a challenge as my balance is pretty bad in flat shoes, but hey, I like to live dangerously. They're not the comfiest things in the world either, but they're so pretty I don't care. I blame my weirdly shaped feet.
I picked these shoes out from the hundreds of options offered on Solestruck.com, and I'll have you know it was not an easy choice. It was a dizzying experience; it's cliche, but I felt kind of like a kid in a candy store. The selection there is extensive, and much cheaper than you would think. Very reasonable, actually. And the shipping was so fast! I'm a fan - and not just 'cause they gave me free shoes.

Mod Cloth
Lately I've been lusting after everything at Mod Cloth. It's a fabulous little indie/vintage boutique, and it has absolutely everything (well, almost everything) you could want.
Looking for a cute sweater dress for the winter? (I am...) How about one of these?
Maybe you're just looking for a cozy top to hole up in during cold weather:
Or a nice coat:
Or perhaps you just want fun shoes/accessories to spice up your outfits:
(Note: Those sequined high tops are just like the Nanette Lepore for Keds ones, only over $60 less. Suh-weet.)
Mod Cloth has it all! And most things aren't that unreasonably priced, either.
My absolute favorite thing in the store is this beautiful skirt:
Isn't it just delish? I WANT IT!!!! Too bad it's possibly the most expensive thing in the store. I so can't afford it.
I think I need to cheer myself up now. Time for some shopping.

Mimi Et Moi
Uh oh. I found a beautiful clothing line that wants to cause my wallet pain. The coats are to die for, the dresses are gorgeous and floaty, and the tops and knitwear are fantastic. Feast your eyes on the gorgeousness that is Mimi Et Moi.
Belted bubble coat $180, Cashmere bubble coat $599
Bubble dress $75, Ruffle dress $74
Not everything has bubble hems, but for some reason those are the things I ended up including in this post. There are so many things that I love at this website (especially this). Go check it out!

Take a Glimpse
How can you not love this dress? It's cute, sweet, playful...I could go on and on. It happens to be Marc by Marc Jacobs. In most cases, upon realizing that the dress I am desperately coveting is Marc by Marc, my gleeful smile droops and I resign myself to the fact that I will never be able to afford it. Ever. Unless I sell my car and spend the rest of my days hoping that strangers will be so distracted by my glorious dress that they won't notice when I sneak into the backs of their cars and hitch a ride. However, in this case, the dress is (gasp!) only $90.90! Hooray!
I'll take a break from jumping for joy and introduce the beautious new website that allowed me to make such a find. Glimpse.com is your new best friend. You can browse through a selection of clothing, shoes, accessories, and other things and narrow them down until you find just what you want. If something is too expensive, you can ask Glimpse to alert you when it goes on sale. You can make lists (I have several long lists of things I covet but could never afford) or buy things right away. It makes for hours of happy purchasing.
Let me guess... You're still contemplating that dress. Wanna know where to buy it? My bff Glimpse supplied a direct link. You're welcome.

Lulu's Fashion Lounge
Lulu's Fashion Lounge is an online boutique of sorts that I have known about for a long time. I have to admit that I was never really all that impressed with the merchandise they had to offer. Well, folks, the tides have changed. I visited the site today for the first time in months, and, lo and behold, there was a fantastic selection of shoes and accessories. I wasn't thrilled with the clothing choices, but the shoes and accessories were dead on, especially the shoes. Not only are most of them extremely cute, but they also have a huge under-$50 section. Can you say score?Still, there were two pairs of shoes that stood out, shoes that unfortunately lie outside of my price range. Look how pretty:
Oh. My. God. I am in love with these boots. They are such a rich, unusual (for boots) blue and I really like the unique touch that the little metal studs add. I'm a size 8US, hint, hint...Pretty please with a cherry on top...
I remember coveting these flats (or maybe very similar ones) at Urban Outfitters. So unique and fun! I love them maybe a little too much.
Anyways, those are the lust-worthy, out-of-budget items of the day. So sadly, I didn't buy them. I did unpocket the cash for a pair of plain red flats (just those junky Mary Janes you can buy in any Chinatown, but I'm a sucker for any shoes with a $6.00 price tag), a cute strawberry printed headband with a bow, and the bag that is shown below. Sweet, isn't it? I think I will be very happy with my purchases, even if those blue boots and white flats aren't among them.

Want Asian Street Fashion?
Well, you're in luck. Asiajam.com sells adorable clothing and accessories imported from Asia. Some of them are too cutesy or puffy for the average American, but others are just right for putting together unique, fun look. The prices aren't bad either.
I like a lot of the items for sale there (Those Hello Kitty purses are so sweet!), but there was one item that really stood out. The skirt pants (shown above) are cute and unique. I've never seen or heard of skirt pants, but I hope they make it big. I may just buy these and bring the trend to America.

Flickr.com
So I'm really liking flickr.com. I got an acount there a week or so ago, but I didn't really get around to using it until thursday. Believe me, this is so much more than a photo-hosting site. There are so many groups with pools of photos on any subject. Some of them are extremely clever. My faves? Wardrobe Swapshop is a group where people post pics of the old clothing, shoes, and accessories that they no longer want, and if they like the stuff that someone else posted, they can trade one of their items for it. That's right...it's like thrift shopping, except it has the added bonus of cleaning unwanted clothes out of your closet, and oh yeah, it only costs the price of shipping. Yippee! Another awesome group is Wardrobe_Remix, where people post pictures of their daily outfits. I'm always so jealous of how awesome everyone looks. It's a great place for wardrobe inspiration. (I'm clothing-obsessed, can you tell?). Finally, flickr hosts many groups full of photos of delicious-looking food and accompanying recipes. This is great for me, but not so great for cookbook authors. Score!

www.forestprints.com
Weird, and yet... alluring, this Singapore site has simple cartoonish forest-inspired designs on cozy cotton T-shirts, cute cards, and more. We love the selection of squishy pillow people, especially Forest Magoo, which looks like—well, just check it out yourself.
CUTE bags and shirts and stuff. Kind of like what you'd expect to find at fredflare.com.
