Dear by Amanda

A while ago, I mentioned that Amanda Bynes would be designing a line for Steve & Barry's, and that I didn't have very high expectations. My reasoning was that, while Sarah Jessica Parker is known as a sort of fashion icon (at least as Carrie Bradshaw...meaning that SJP doesn't really deserve credit for that), Amanda Bynes is not exactly known for her trendsetting. However, SJP set the tone for all the Steve & Barry's celebrity-designed lines when she opted for function and wearability over ground-breaking design. So while Amanda Bynes may not be a design star, I think she'll be very capable of helping to create a line that is fun and functional. Her line, which is called Dear, has a website that will soon boast preview photos, but the Dear MySpace gives us a better idea of what the line will look like through a short video. The clothes seem simple, but not neccessarilly boring. And if those shoes Amanda is wearing in the above promotional photo (far left) are part of the collection, I will be more than thrilled. I'm not a big heel person, mostly because my natural clumsiness triples the further my heels are from the ground, but if those pretty things are anywhere near as cheap as SJP's shoes ($10), I will name my first child Amanda Bynes. As long as the shoes fit, I guess, and are remotely comfortable. But you get the idea.

all have to say is, people change.

you dont have to blog something about a person about there trends. its somehow like a personal matters if they wear this or that.
